Accurate diagnosis is the first step to the right treatment. Charis Vets in Budaiya has laboratory and diagnostic imaging facilities on site, so many tests can be done during your pet’s visit.
Diagnostic imaging
- Digital X-rays with artificial intelligence (AI) support for analysing and reporting, which helps detect even subtle abnormalities.
- CT scans at the clinic for detailed 3D images of bones, joints, the spine and other areas. Read more on our orthopaedics, neurosurgery and CT page.
Laboratory tests
Blood and urine tests help us check how your pet’s organs are working, look for infection and monitor long-term conditions. Tests are commonly used:
- Before an anaesthetic or surgery
- When a pet is unwell and the cause is not clear
- To check for tick-borne infections such as tick fever
- As part of senior pet wellness exams
- To monitor pets on long-term medication
Some specialised tests are sent to external laboratories. Our vet will explain which tests your pet needs and why.
Blood samples at home
Blood samples can also be collected during a home visit.
